Touch
Meet leaf, flower, seed, stem, scent and water gently, according to what the season is truly offering.

TOUCH · UNDERSTAND · LOVE · LIVE · REMEMBER
Spend three days and two nights meeting the lotus as more than a flower: a living thread through wetland ecology, farming, food, memory and the unhurried rhythm of Dong Thap.
The five-part journey
The lotus becomes a way to read Dong Thap: its ecology, food, work, symbolism and everyday presence. Each step has its own time and purpose, so the journey feels lived rather than performed for photographs.
Meet leaf, flower, seed, stem, scent and water gently, according to what the season is truly offering.
Read how lotus grows, why water conditions matter and how local livelihoods work with the wetland.
Taste lotus through tea or food and listen to the stories, language and values carried with it.
Join one honest farm or kitchen activity, then allow enough free time to follow the farm's natural pace.
Close with tea, reflection and a small place-rooted story or keepsake to carry onward.

Day 1 · Touch
Suggested arrival is between 13:00 and 14:00. Settle into the confirmed room, receive a practical orientation and begin with a lotus or lotus-leaf drink before a slow sensory walk through the farm landscape.
The first evening connects lotus with the wider food memory of Dong Thap Muoi. Tea and storytelling may be joined by Southern chamber music only when local artists have been arranged and confirmed in advance.
Day 2 · Understand
Around dawn, when weather and guest ability allow, observe lotus, water, birds and changing light without turning wildlife or farm work into a spectacle. Learn why lotus appearance, harvest and rural use change with water level, season and care.
The early start is adapted for children, older guests and anyone who needs a gentler pace. Two mornings create room to adjust if rain or conditions make the first plan unsuitable.

Day 2 · Love
Prepare or share tea, a simple ingredient or a seasonal dish while hearing how lotus lives in Vietnamese food, language and memory. Lotus should enrich the table, not overwhelm it.
Lotus-focused dishes make up roughly 30–40% of the food story. The remaining dishes represent rice, fish, vegetables and the 'Memories of Reclaiming Dong Thap Muoi' that give the flower its wider cultural setting.

Day 2 · Live
Join one season-appropriate farm or kitchen activity such as lotus observation, picking, ingredient preparation or another honest task available that day. VMF separates what guests can do, what should only be observed and what is unavailable.
The programme deliberately keeps time for rest, reading, walking, a hammock or quiet conversation. Forty-eight hours adds depth through rhythm, not by doubling the number of activities.
Day 3 · Remember
Begin the final morning slowly with gentle movement or a short walk, breakfast and lotus tea. A closing conversation gathers what the guest noticed about water, work, food and local life before departure around 12:00.
The core journey is two nights. International guests are encouraged to stay at least three nights in total when travel time, rest or a separate Tram Chim National Park day needs more breathing room.
One dated proposal
The 48-hour framework is quoted as one product, not as competing 24-, 36- and 48-hour options. The written proposal for your dates names the room, meals, hosts, activities and every seasonal condition.
Two nights in the confirmed room; two breakfasts, one lunch and two dinners; lotus tea or lotus-leaf drinks; the five-part hosted journey; agreed tools and simple activity preparation.
Travel to and from VMF, a separate Tram Chim National Park tour, extra nights, personal purchases, travel insurance, private performers and activities requiring a special supplement.
Lotus condition, weather alternative, room and bathroom type, menu and dietary needs, minimum group or solo supplement, total price, deposit, change and cancellation terms.
Small by design
The journey is prepared for a limited number of guests and must be booked in advance. Solo travellers receive a clear adapted plan and any private supplement in writing rather than discovering unavailable activities after arrival.
Price clarity before payment
VMF does not publish a placeholder number when the 2026 rate, room fit, meals, transport or group conditions have not been confirmed consistently. Before payment, you receive one written total.
